Nazi propagandist William Joyce, whose voice became so well known across Britain that it eventually led to his capture, spoke his final words 75 years ago today.
An interesting and informative article, to be sure. However, stating that Joyce was "[a]lways right-leaning in his politics," as one paragraph begins, is erroneous. While Joyce despised the Soviet Union, he referred to the leaders of that entity as "Bolsheviks", while expressing his own desire for socialism --- hardly a "right-leaning" political ideology. Joyce was left-leaning in his politics, preferring one particular leftist ideology (National Socialism) over another leftist ideology (Communism).
